Prayer Requests

Thank you for lifting us up in prayer. Below you will see our ongoing prayer needs and, as they arise, our special prayer needs.

We list these requests knowing that we depend upon the Lord, for:

"Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain" (Psalm 127:1)

Special Prayer Needs

12/5/2012

AIU students have requested prayer for financial provisions to pay for their tuition. As the term comes to an end, this is especially important so that students can take their exams and register for the next term's classes. Please pray that God would provide for them. If you would like to be the answer to some of their prayers, please write a check to Christian Leaders for Africa and specify how you want the funds to be used. You may mail the check to the following address:

AIU’s beloved Vice Chancellor Douglas Carew passed away suddenly on November 9. We mourn the great loss of this remarkable leader and ask for your prayers. Please pray for his wife and three children, whom he leaves behind, and for the AIU community as they transition from his leadership. Pray also for the CLA board as they say goodbye to a man they not only worked with for years but also came to love as a brother in Christ.

A new school year has begun at AIU, and the new students have made the adjustment into academic life again. That means long hours in the library and quite a bit of time sitting in the classroom. Please pray for the students as they try to find a balance between studies and the rest of life, something that can be very elusive while getting an education.

8/3/2012

AIU’s Vice Chancellor Dr. Douglas Carew has returned home after a brief stay in the hospital for a blood clot in his brain. Praise God that the doctors were able to remove the clot and prevent further injury. Pray for continued healing over the next few weeks.

Pray for AIU’s Academic Dean Dr. John Jusu as he develops the undergraduate program curricula for the coming semester. Dr. Jusu is also recruiting new faculty, so please pray that God would guide qualified individuals to the school and that Dr. Jusu would have discernment in the hiring process.
