Dear Board of CLA:
Greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I hope this message finds you and your family good and well, joyful, and at perfect peace this Christmas season.
My name is [redacted for his security], an international theology student at NEGST / Africa International University, and I have been a member of the broader Christian community for six years. My journey to Christ, however, was a profound turning point. For 22 years, I was deeply entrenched in Islam, serving as an Imam and Sheikh. I did Bachelor degree in Islamic theology. It was through a direct and personal revelation that Christ called me, revealing Himself as the way, the truth, and the life. This unwavering truth compelled me to leave everything behind to follow Him.
Since my conversion, my family and I have faced severe persecution for our faith. The threat became so grave that we were forced to flee our home country. Now living as family who have no home country, we continue to be hunted and face significant danger and abuse. Daily life is a struggle, particularly in securing basic necessities and the school fees for me and my children.
As this year comes to a close, my heart is full with gratitude as I write this. I cannot let this season pass without thanking you, I’m one of those who have been blessed by your scholarships support, and I pray that you will continue to bless me in future. From the depths of my soul and the deepest part of my heart, for the love, support, and strength you extended to me and my family during our challenges of persecution and difficult times we pass through. Your kindness was a tangible reflection of God’s love, faithfulness, and provision for us, and we will forever be grateful.
As we celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ, allow me to wish you and your entire family a truly blessed and Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with hope, joy, and God’s abundant blessings and goodness.
May God bless you so much richly for all you have done for me and my family.
We continue to pray for you that our Lord Jesus Christ continues to pour out His favor and abundant blessings upon you and your loved ones, today and always.
In Christ’s love,
